Bokman of Wellsville Chevrolet GMC

Feb 28, 2024

Chevrolet is gearing up for the launch of the 2025 Equinox, making it the latest Chevy SUV to get an update. Within the past two years, every Chevy crossover and SUV – from the Trax to the Trailblazer to the Traverse – has either been introduced or has seen a revamp. Finally, the 2025 Equinox represents the full realization of Chevrolet’s SUV vision.

The SUV sector is currently the largest, most competitive segment in the country. To survive, you need to stand out– and the Equinox’s bold new style and completely overhauled cabin commands all the attention.

We expect the 2025 Equinox to arrive at Bokman of Wellsville by the end of this year. Meanwhile, let’s take a look at what to anticipate from this fourth-generation SUV.

A Tough New Exterior…

If you contrast the 2025 Equinox with the 2020 model, its evolution over the prior five years is evident. What was formerly a rounder, more traditional SUV has been motivated by the crisp body lines of both the Chevy truck lineup and the 2024 Traverse. With a width of 2.3 inches more than the 2024 model, the 2025 Equinox has bulked up – like an undersized athlete hitting the gym during the off-season.

The compact SUV will be offered in three unique trims: LT, RS, and ACTIV. Its bold new contours pair pleasantly with striking, all-LED lighting elements. The Equinox is one again powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 175 horsepower. It’s supported by a continuously variable transmission in front-wheel-drive setups, or an eight-speed automatic transmission with the optional all-wheel-drive configuration.

…Combined with a Tech-Intensive Interior

Much like its revamped SUV and crossover siblings, the 2025 Equinox has been redesigned as a tech-centric driving experience. Its new 11.3-inch, corner-to-corner infotainment display is over 30% larger than the Equinox’s previous, largest display. Thanks to Google built-in, it’s also an interconnected hub, with fast and intuitive access to music, maps, media, and more.

Other cabin highlights include:

  • Electronic Precision Shift
  • Standard heated steering wheel & heated front seats
  • Folding 60/40 split-bench second row seats
  • Concealed rear cargo floor storage area
  • Optional wireless charging

Safety First!

It wouldn’t be a Chevy SUV if it wasn’t equipped with the most recent Chevy Safety Assist technology. This suite of features includes:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Forward Collision Warning
  • Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking
  • Following Distance Indicator
  • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
  • IntelliBeam

This is in addition to now-standard safety features like Rear Vision Camera, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Change Alert, Emergency Braking, and more.

Chevy (Equi)nox Knocks It Out of the Park

The actual equinox, which signals the start of spring, occurs on March 19 this year. We won’t see the debut of the new Chevy Equinox by then – but we can hold out hope that it’s here in time for the autumnal equinox on September 22. And while the 2025 model will undoubtedly arrive as the definitive rendition of the Equinox, you’ll still get a ton of milage with the 2024 model.

You can find that and a lot more here at Bokman of Wellsville, including the revamped 2024 Trax. If you’re considering a change, perhaps 2024 is the year you switch to electric with the Chevy Bolt EUV? Your options await, and you’ll discover them at Wellsville‘s most trusted dealership.
